Three new life members

At our 2025 AGM, we were proud to award Life Membership to three incredibly deserving volunteers — people who have each made a lasting impact on our club.

Brian “Scatter” Walkley has been a character around the club since 1992 when he first joined as a player. Over the years, he’s coached at both junior and senior levels, served on the committee, and continues to support our junior coaches to this day.

Jessi Wardlaw has been a tireless volunteer for 25 years. From running the canteen alongside Vicki Simms, working behind the bar, and cooking Thursday night teas, to more recently coordinating our social events — Jessi’s dedication is considerable. It’s rare to find someone who has given so much time and energy to a club without ever having played themselves.

Donna Wardlaw has contributed to the club for more than two decades as a volunteer, following her years as a player. Since 2013, Donna has served as our Marketing and Promotions Officer, managing our merchandise, Team App, and communications, and developing key club policies that are now part of our foundation. She also served on the Netball Executive from 2016–2024, mentored countless umpires (many achieving their C Grade badge), and co-led the social committee for three years. She has been an umpire for 20 years and umpired over 400 games for our club as well.

A huge congratulations and heartfelt thank you to Brian, Jessie, and Donna — your dedication, passion, and years of service have helped shape the club we’re all so proud of today.

Life Members: Donna Wardlaw, Jessi Wardlaw, Bryan Walkley with President Sandie Ward
